I received a tip from a concerned citizen of Saratoga Springs NY that the local police department was corrupt and abusive to the citizens. When I first arrived into the city I figured I would test them on Supreme Court rulings by giving the middle finger. Officer N. Baker decided he would illegally pull me over and arrest me for disorderly conduct. Even after being told the Supreme Court has ruled that a police officer may not initiate a traffic stop based on that reason. Officer Baker states that the local judge says its disorderly conduct. The Czech-born American composer Jaromir Weinberger studied at the Prague Conservatory, then with Max Reger in Leipzig, after which he taught in Prague, Bratislava and Vienna. He lived in America from 1939 and became an American citizen in 1948. Many of the works Weinberger composed in America show a strong penchant towards American nationalism: The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a score for a ballet Saratoga, and Prelude and Fugue on Dixie are a few. His Lincoln Symphony was composed in 1941, placing him in the company of many American composers who also were celebrating Lincoln - composers such as D. G.
